On September 8,Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at the symposium on Global Digital Governance that China is willing to launch the Global Data Security Initiative to address new issues and challenges.At present,more than 100 countries have enacted laws and regulations on data protection,covering all aspects of data security.It is fair to say that global rules for data security are in place.Data security risks are a common challenge faced by all countries in the process of developing the digital economy.Countries should strengthen communication and collaboration on this issue and promote global governance.However,there are always some countries engaged in unilateralism,throwing dirty water on other countries in the name of"clean"and trying to suppress other countries'leading enterprises.Such blatant bullying politicizes the data issue,deliberately sets up double standards,and seriously interferes with and hinders global digital cooperation and development efforts.I would like to ask some countries that are deliberately fabricating rumors and smearing China whether they dare to make a commitment like China's and do their bit for data security governance.
