Cao Qineng,62 years old,is a native of Sanlintang.After retirement,he signed up to become a folk river leader.Whenever he is free,Cao Qineng will ride the battery car,enter the village and the old street,and conduct river patrol supervision.Whether garbage floats in rivers and lakes,whether shorelines are built randomly,and whether water quality is abnormal in appearance and taste are the key points of his observation.Every time a problem is found,Cao Qi can take photos and videos,mark river location,river state and other information,and upload them to the work group.To his satisfaction,the problems he reflected can always be solved quickly."I grew up next to a river.The urbanization process is fast,and it is difficult to protect and manage the water environment.I hope I can do something to keep the beautiful scenery of clean water and green banks."Cao Qi can say.
Since 2017,Pudong has deeply promoted the system of river and lake governors,which has enabled more than 16000 rivers in the New Area to be patrolled,managed and governed by people.Among them,more than 6000 private river governors and volunteers have played a role in supervision,publicity and promotion.
