Haikou,Sept.21(Chinanews.com Wang Ziqian,Zhang Lei,reports from the public transport department of Haikou city,21,in order to promote the construction of the national ecological civilization pilot zone,realize the free trade port public transport convenient,fast and green service,the city's public transport new energy and clean energy has reached 100%.
The city has 2,187 buses and 152 bus routes(including nine customized online ones),with a total length of 3,178.79 km and a total operating mileage of 136 million km in 2019,carrying 147 million passengers,said Wang Yanxiong,party secretary and chairman of Haikou Public Transport Group.At present,some diesel vehicles are only used as emergency support to cope with severe weather such as typhoon and rainstorm.Haikou's proportion of new energy and clean energy in public transport is 100%,far higher than the target of"no less than 60%of new energy and clean energy buses in key areas"jointly demanded by the Ministry of Transport and the National Development and Reform Commission.
Jiang Wenqi,deputy director of Haikou Municipal Transportation and Port and Navigation Administration,said that in order to adapt to the construction of the free trade port,Haikou should speed up the promotion of new energy bus vehicles,develop slow-moving transportation system,accelerate the construction of public transportation with rail transit as the backbone and conventional buses as the main body,and realize the operation of a network of"rail transit+conventional buses".The city plans to start buying another 200 new energy buses by the end of this year.
It is reported that the 290 newly launched pure electric buses in Haikou are divided into slow charging and fast charging models,with charging time of 30 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes respectively.In terms of waterproof and fire performance,the technology is updated.In particular,the top technology of power battery is adopted in the fast-charging model to effectively improve the wading height of the vehicle and solve the problem that the heavy rain road water cannot be driven.
